Welcome to SHARe Knowsley
SHARe Knowsley is a small grassroots charity that wants to help improve the lives of those living in our community who have left their homes and everything they know, to escape the horrors of persecution, violence, war and oppression.
Not only is the word SHARe an acronym for Supporting and Helping Asylum seekers and Refugees, but it also sums up our philosophy in wanting to share our lives with whoever we meet, irrespective of where they come from, their story, language, colour, race, faith and gender. We treat everyone we meet with dignity, love, care and respect. Offering friendship is at the heart of everything we do .
We work hard to create a support network for asylum seekers and refugees, giving them the assistance they need to live with dignity, so that they can rebuild their lives.

Share Knowsley are currently looking to recruit three new trustees to join our Board which is made up of a small team who are collectively responsible for developing and guiding the strategic direction of the organisation, ensuring its long-term stability.

VACANCIES….We’re looking for a Community Enterprise Development Coordinator (closing date 10th August 2026)

Are you someone who loves bringing people together, turning ideas into action and creating opportunities that make a real difference?
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, organised and enterprising individual to lead an exciting new pilot exploring how community enterprise can transform lives. Using a Repair Café concept as the starting point, you’ll work alongside clients, volunteers, local businesses and community organisations to build partnerships, uncover hidden skills, test new ideas and help shape a sustainable future for SHARe Knowsley.
This is a unique opportunity to take an idea from concept to reality. You’ll coordinate pop-up events, engage the local community, champion volunteering, and gather the evidence needed to determine whether this could become a thriving long-term community enterprise. Along the way, you’ll help people develop skills, confidence and pathways into volunteering and employment.
